London-Piribo, a Web site for business information for the biotech and pharmacy industry, has added a new report offering a comprehensive financial analysis of the global medical technology industry.

The report, "Clinica's Medical Device and Diagnostic Company League Tables 2006," is available at http://tinyurl.com/5ue6oj and includes a list of the top 200 medical technology companies. They are ranked according to a number of financial criteria, including sales growth, research and development, profit, and margin.

It also ranks each company's position in the main medical technology subsectors, including ophthalmology. Companies on the list include Alcon Laboratories, Advanced Medical Optics, and Bausch & Lomb.

The report will enable readers to:

  • Benchmark the company's position against its competitors, in the market as a whole, as well as in key product sectors.

  •  Identify potential new markets for the company's products where there are relatively few competitors.

  • Analyse competitors and recognize potential weaknesses in their financial performance.
