VEE business courses

The International Vision Expo East, slated for March 16 to 20 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City, will include more than 55 hours of courses on managing for profitability and using technology.

Norwalk, CT-The International Vision Expo East (VEE), slated for March 16 to 20 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City, will include more than 55 hours of courses on managing for profitability and using technology.

“The programs offered provide individuals and practices innovative business strategies that help maintain and grow their business success,” said Kirk Smick, OD, FAAO, chairman of the conference’s advisory board.

This year’s show offers more than 60 new and exclusive courses, according to organizers. Also new this year is the Management & Business Academy, created by CIBA Vision and Essilor and endorsed by the American Optometric Association.

“Staying abreast of emerging technologies and business-building opportunities, we’ve added new courses on social media,” said Tom Loughran, vice president for Reed Exhibitions. “ECPs seeking insight into how to leverage these communication channels to increase patient contacts and practice success will be interested in these course offerings.”
