Las Vegas-Vision Expo West 2011 will include a new treasure hunt to drive show traffic and generate excitement about the meeting. LifeStyle Eyecare Centers, a marketing company aimed at assisting independent eye-care professionals in expanding and marketing their practices, will host the event.

Participants will collect a map from one of 20 locations throughout the trade show. After collecting coins at participating vendors’ booths, show attendees will be able to visit the LifeStyle Eyecare Centers booth to play a slot machine for a chance to win one of more than $10,000 in prizes.

“We hope this will be a fun event for the attendees as well as a way to get the word out about the great products our strategic partners have to offer,” said David Carneal, director of operations for LifeStyle Eyecare Centers.

The company also will conduct free workshops to teach interested attendees how to get the most out of their marketing budgets. The seminar, “Marketing for Pennies on the Dollar,” will be held at 2 p.m. Sept. 22, 23, and 24. Those attending the workshop will be able to collect additional coins for the treasure hunt and receive special discounts on purchases at the show.

The Vision Expo West 2011 exhibition will be Sept. 22 to 24, and the educational sessions will be Sept. 21 to 25 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center, Las Vegas.
