Topcon Medical Systems Inc. has introduced a new slit lamp (SL-3G).

Paramus, NJ-Topcon Medical Systems Inc. has introduced a new slit lamp (SL-3G).

The device features a stereoscopic converging microscope and optics that allow users to change magnifications between 1 x and 1.6 x easily, according to the company. Also, a 6-volt, 20-watt halogen bulb provides illumination designed to help ensure optimum color rendition and detailed, extended observation through narrower slit apertures.

Additional features, according to the company, include a 20° slit beam inclination designed to make the equipment more versatile in gonioscopy and fundus observation; four built-in filters to facilitate special exams; continuous adjustment of slit aperture; and an angular measurement scale designed to simplify the fitting of contact lenses to treat astigmatism.
