Lisbon, Portugal - Schwind eye-tech-solution GmbH, Kleinostheim, Germany, presented several refractive-oriented products at the ESCRS meeting.

Schwind introduced Presby-CAM, a software solution for the laser correction of presbyopia. Presby-CAM (Custom Ablation Manager) enables near and distant binocular vision, so the depth perception remains and contrast sensitivity loss is minimized. The product is currently under clinical investigation.

The company also introduced an optical Online Pachymetry (from OCT Technologies) for its ESIRIS excimer laser. The unit measures the corneal thickness during LASIK and allows additional intraoperative quality assurances. Current ESIRIS users can easily have their lasers upgraded.

Finally, Schwind presented new software, ORK-CAM that links the company’s high-end diagnostic devices with the ESIRIS laser. The software office innovative features, such as aspherical profiles that improve post-operative results for visual acuity, glare sensitivity, contrast vision, and overall healing process.
