Richard Zorab, AAO ONE Network founder, dies at 68

Richard Zorab, vice president for ophthalmic knowledge at the American Academy of Ophthalmology, has died at the age of 68.

San Francisco-Richard Zorab, vice president for ophthalmic knowledge at the American Academy of Ophthalmology, has died at the age of 68.

Zorab had built the Academy’s newly redesigned Ophthalmic News and Education (ONE) Network, an online source of peer-reviewed news and education for ophthalmologists.

He died shortly after receiving the Academy Guest of Honor Award at the Academy’s annual meeting in Chicago. He was the first education vice president in the Academy’s 118-year history to ever be honored with the award.
