New Web resource

The Centre for Contact Lens Research and the Brien Holden Vision Institute have launched www.contactlensupdate.com, a new source of Web-based information about contact lenses.

Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, and Sydney, Australia-The Centre for Contact Lens Research and the Brien Holden Vision Institute have launched www.contactlensupdate.com, a new source of Web-based information about contact lenses.

The two organizations said their collaborative project will “bring [eye-care practitioners] unbiased nuggets of current research, as well as practical implications for the practice within the broader landscape of contact lenses.”

The new Web site will include research commentary in the form of conference posters, editorials, and conference synopses organized to highlight relevance at the clinical level. A resource library will be developed over time, where visitors will be able to find an image library, videos, calculators/conversion charts, and practice building tools.

The Web site is supported through an educational grant from CIBA Vision and Alcon.
