Boston-Bausch & Lomb has introduced a new eye vitamin supplement, Ocuvite DF, for patients with diabetes.

Boston-Bausch & Lomb has introduced a new eye vitamin supplement, Ocuvite DF, for patients with diabetes.

The vitamin contains an antioxidant called genistein, which battles free radicals and reduces oxidative stress. Nutritional supplements are also required to maintain general eye health because of "shortfalls in Americans' nutritional intake," said Anthony Cavallerano, OD, FAAO, an optometrist at the VA Boston Health Care System and professor of optometry at the New England College of Optometry.

Other product offerings from the company include Ocuvite Adult and Ocuvite Adult 50+ eye vitamin and mineral supplement formulations.
