Larger diameter flaps contribute to increased corneal sensation lossand dry eye

A larger diameter flap seems to be associated with a greater loss ofcorneal sensation and dry eye syndrome than smaller flaps, according toJoshua C. Rozell who reported the results of a study conducted by Eric Donnenfeld,MD, at the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) annualmeeting.
