Iris-fixated lens offers good, long-term vision
Sint-Truiden, Belgium-The Artisan iris-fixated lens (Ophtec BV) has been used extensively in Europe to treat myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. After 15 years, the lens, which is available with 5- and 6-mm optics, is providing patients with very good stability and visual acuity outcomes, according to Camille J.R. Budo, MD, who reported on the outcomes of the European study of the lens.
