Smithfield, RI-Heidelberg Engineering’s technical service division has moved into a technical services facility in Rhode Island specifically built and designed to meet the company’s increased capacity needs.

The new space nearly doubles the previous facilities’ square footage. According to the company, the expansion comes after 4 years of double-digit growth built on the success of its spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (OCT) products (Spectralis SD-OCT).

“The new facilities reflect our position as the leading innovator of confocal scanning laser technology combined with OCT and will help us continue to provide first-in-class service for our customers,” said Travis Lindsay, general manager and chief operating officer.

Heidelberg Engineering is headquartered in Heidelberg, Germany. Its U.S. corporate headquarters is in Carlsbad, CA.
