EyePAC held its annual benefit event at Gump's department store Friday evening prior to the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) and American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators (ASOA) welcome reception at SBC Park.

The store was closed to the public from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. so that ASCRS/ASOA members and their guests could take a private tour of the store, without the usual crowds. The East/West shopping experience included what is touted as the world's best selections of crystals and china, a vast collection of silver, and bed, bath, and fragrance selections.

In addition, guests were treated to a reception-style buffet and beverages.

All proceeds benefited eyePAC, a non-partisan organization. The group provides donations to congressional candidates who show strong support for the physician community, especially the concerns of specialty-care physicians and their patients.
