Corneal collagen cross-linking halts keratoconus progression

Anaheim, CA-Cross-linking of corneal collagen by topical treatment with riboflavin and ultraviolet (UV) light exposure shows promise as a safe, effective, simple, and inexpensive nonsurgical treatment for keratoconus, said Theo Seiler, MD, PhD, at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
