Miami-Bio-Tissue Inc, announces the introduction of Cliradex, a new preservative-free, all-natural lid and lash cleanser. Packaged as a moist towlette, the preparation can be used for regular eyelash and eyelid skin cleansing that is important for patients with eye conditions such as blepharitis, ocular rosacea, dry eye, and conjunctivitis.

The key constituents of the proprietary formulation are derived from the oil of the tea tree, Melaleuca alternifolia, have been studied extensively around the world, and have demonstrated numerous eye, skin, and overall cleansing benefits.

“With the active ingredient of tea tree oil, Cliradex is a great alternative for patients seeking to improve overall eye and skin health without harmful chemical preservatives,” said Scheffer C.G. Tseng, MD, PhD, medical director of Bio-Tissue Inc., and medical director of Ocular Surface Center, Miami. “Regular eyelash and eyelid skin cleansing is important for people with eye conditions . . . [that] if ignored can lead to serious problems, including impaired vision and an increased risk of eye infection.”
