Buchman, Choo sign licensing agreements

Major eyewear licensing agreements have been signed by Dana Buchman and the Kenmark Group and by Jimmy Choo and Safilo Group.

New York, London, and Padua, Italy-Major eyewear licensing agreements have been signed by Dana Buchman and the Kenmark Group and by Jimmy Choo and Safilo Group.

Dana Buchman Vision will offer ophthalmic styles and both prescription and fashion sunglasses, all featuring fashion and consumer luxury. The new line will launch to the trade at Vision Expo West, Oct. 4-6, and subsequently will be available in November at optical retailers.

"Kenmark's track record of interpreting the look and feel of a fashion brand into an eyewear collection is impressive," said Buchman. "I am pleased to be collaborating with them for our new eyewear line."

Tamara Mellon, founder and president of Jimmy Choo, said, "We are delighted to have found the perfect partners with Safilo Group, a company recognized throughout the world for its high-end products."
