Blindness from trachoma may be eliminated in Morocco by 2005, ITI says
United Nations-Trachoma-related blindness has been nearly eliminated in one North African nation, according to an international fund that also announced plans to expand its program. The International Trachoma Initiative (ITI) predicted recently that trachoma-related blindness, a risk to 1.5 million people in Morocco just 5 years ago, will be eliminated in the country by 2005.
