Rochester, NY-DiversityInc magazine placed Bausch & Lomb on the magazine's Top 50 Companies for Diversity list for the third straight year. This year, the company was ranked 35th.

More than 250 corporations participated in this year's national survey on corporate diversity. In a change from prior years, companies were evaluated on the basis of consistent strength in four categories-human capital, CEO commitment, corporate communications, and supplier development.

In related news, Bausch & Lomb recently added to its "human capital" by hiring Dwain L. Hahs as senior vice president and president of its Asia region, and Gerhard Bauer, PhD, who is replacing Hahs as corporate senior vice president and senior vice president-global operations and engineering.
