Attendance sets record at AAO annual meeting

Las Vegas-More than 32,570 people registered for the 2006 American Academy of Ophthalmology annual meeting in November, making it the most successful meeting in the organization's history.

Las Vegas-More than 32,570 people registered for the 2006 American Academy of Ophthalmology annual meeting in November, making it the most successful meeting in the organization's history.

The meeting was attended by 27,249 of those who registered, according to the academy.

Subspecialty day was particularly well-attended, with retina registration up 18%, refractive up 34%, and glaucoma up 47%.
