AMO, B&L enter into phaco patent agreement

Advanced Medical Optics and Bausch & Lomb have entered into an agreement regarding AMO's patent entitled "Fluid Management Systems with Vertex Chamber" (No. 6,059,765) and its foreign counterparts, all of which relate to peristaltic pump fluidics used in phacoemulsification systems.

Santa Ana, CA, and Rochester, NY-Advanced Medical Optics (AMO) and Bausch & Lomb (B&L) have entered into an agreement regarding AMO's patent entitled "Fluid Management Systems with Vertex Chamber" (No. 6,059,765) and its foreign counterparts, all of which relate to peristaltic pump fluidics used in phacoemulsification systems.

Under the terms of the agreement, B&L will pay AMO a royalty. Other terms were not disclosed.
