Academy embraces 'community of healing'
New Orleans-In the spirit of continuing with the normal activitiesthat President Bush is encouraging Americans to pursue, "we are herein New Orleans to meet, learn, and conduct business," said George W.Blankenship, MD, FACS, as he addressed the opening session of the 105thannual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) here in November.The session began with a moment of silence to honor the victims of the Sept.11 terrorist attacks.
