AAO launches redesigned clinical education site

The American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) has announced its newly redesigned Ophthalmic News and Education (ONE) Network, an online source of peer-reviewed news and education for ophthalmologists.

San Francisco-The American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) has announced its newly redesigned Ophthalmic News and Education (ONE) Network, an online source of peer-reviewed news and education for ophthalmologists.

The new site includes improvements in search optimization, responsive design for mobile compatibility, intuitive navigation, and a multimedia library.

The ONE Network was established in 2007 to help ophthalmologists keep up with current developments, while helping them to meet continuing education and certification requirements.

“As technology evolves, so do the needs of ophthalmologists who are committed to lifelong learning,” said Richard Zorab, vice president of clinical education at AAO. “By actively listening to our membership, we have been able to design updates for the network that are tailored to these growing needs.

“The result provides ophthalmologists around the world with a quality experience that will help them continue their education and provide quality care to their patients,” he said.

The ONE Network will continue to evolve, as advances are made in ophthalmology. Additional resources, including the online Munnerlyn Laser Surgery Education Center, are scheduled to launch later this fall.
